Our Story
Passionate about coffee, rooted in Chanchamayo heritage
The Beginning
Goal Digger Coffee is the continuation of a family journey that began more than 80 years ago. In the 1940s, Hector and Rosa left the Andean highlands of Cajamarca and settled in the Central Jungle of Junín. With grit and determination, Hector purchased land from the Peruvian Corporation, carved roads by hand, built the first school in the region, and planted coffee trees at 1,400–1,800 meters above sea level. For him, coffee was never just a crop — it was a community lifeline.
When Hector and Rosa passed, their children divided the farm but kept the spirit alive by forming a cooperative. That decision planted the seeds of what would later become both COOPCHEBI and Incan Forests.
From Cooperative to Global Recognition
In 2003, COOPCHEBI was officially founded — today uniting 186 member families across 12 communities. Together, they export organic, handpicked Arabica and Geisha varieties to New Zealand, France, Switzerland, Belgium, Russia, China, Japan, and Taiwan. Every bean is produced with care: clean, traceable, and grown with deep social and environmental responsibility. No heavy machinery clearing forests — only hands, patience, and respect for the land.
In 2013, Carmen's parents created Incan Forests as a legacy for their two daughters and sons. The goal was to strengthen their family farms, expand alongside the cooperative, and build something lasting for the next generation. Incan Forests soon began showcasing their coffees internationally, earning numerous medals and awards in New Zealand, France, and Peru for their balance of sweetness, citrus brightness, and layered notes of toasted nuts, panela, spices, chocolate, and grapefruit.
A New Chapter — Goal Digger Coffee
In 2023, Carmen Marín, daughter of Félix and Carmen Marín, founded Goal Digger Coffee with her husband Orlando Baca. Their vision was to bring her parents' award-winning coffee — already celebrated across Europe and Asia — directly to the United States. Goal Digger Coffee is about honoring the legacy of Hector and Rosa, the cooperative's dedication, and the vision of Incan Forests, while creating new opportunities for roasters and coffee lovers to experience Chanchamayo's finest beans.
Our Mission
We believe every cup can fuel achievement — because behind every bean are families who dug deep to turn hardship into abundance. Our mission is:

- • To showcase Peru's unique flavor profiles — vibrant citrus, rich cocoa, floral Geisha, and more.
- • To protect the environment through shade-grown, organic, handpicked practices.
- • To help roasters and drinkers worldwide taste not just coffee, but the story behind it.
